Railroad Repairs
Beard contracted with the USACE to repair the failing and failed railroad track system components of 13.7 miles of railroad that compromise and put in high risk of mission failure, the capability of the system in supporting the tenant unit development readiness requirements and the Brigade Combat Team annual rotation. The task order included repairs to the following: sub-base on selected sections of track, ties and switch ties over the entire track system, surface and alignment on the entire track system, gauge and profile, rail joint joints, subsurface drainage and the replacement of culverts.
